Jennifer Dubow is the Global Social Business Transformation Leader in the Inside Sales organization at IBM. She works with digital and social selling focal points located in sales centers around the world, to help Inside Sales representatives adopt digital and social selling practices to increase leads generated and win revenue, while deepening client relationships. Prior to this role, Jennifer was an Industry Marketing Manager for Telecom and Energy & Utilities in the WebSphere brand in IBM Software Group. She also held several roles focused on BPM including Product Marketing Manager, BPM Evangelist, and BPM Social Media and Communications Lead. Before joining IBM, Jennifer explored the culinary field after becoming a Certified Natural Foods Chef at the Natural Gourmet Cookery School in NYC. Jennifer began her career in change management consulting at Accenture in the US and UK, and as an HR and communications consultant at The Empower Group in NYC. She attended Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill, earning an MBA in Marketing and Sustainable Enterprise. Jennifer completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University with a BS in Human Development and Family Studies.
Melissa Sowry joined the Burt’s Bees team in July 2010 as the Content and Social Media Manger. Since joining Burt’s Bees, Sowry has grown the Burt’s Bees Facebook fanbase from approximately 98,000 to more than 900,000 during the past eighteen months by creating content that engages consumers and offers behind the scenes access to the world of Burt’s Bees. Burt’s Bees social media presence has recently earned accolades from Hubspot.com, Inc.com and the Social Media Examiner. The Burt’s Bees Facebook page currently ranks #18 on the Facebook Health/Beauty Leaderboard
Sowry began her career in journalism at ABC news, climbing the ranks from desk assistant to production associate and finally associate producer for “World News Tonight with Peter Jennings,” “Good Morning America,” and “Nightline” working out of both the New York and Chicago Bureaus. She is a recipient of a Business & Financial Emmy and the George Foster Peabody Award. In 2007, Sowry relocated to North Carolina to assume the role of Studio Manager and University Multimedia Producer for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At UNC, Sowry managed and directed daily operations, conducted one –on-one media training sessions with University faculty and provided first line contact with media to balance the most newsworthy opportunities with the University’s strategic goals and priorities. She now brings a passion for storytelling in the realm of new media.
Melissa received a dual B.A. major in Journalism and Mass Communication and Romance Languages with a concentration in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is also currently working towards her MBA at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC and is slated for graduation in September 2012.
Ricci is founder and CEO of Agile Marketing Group, a social media and online marketing consulting group. Ricci has over 7 years experience in online marketing, merchandising and brand management. Prior to starting her own company Ricci managed all online customer acquisition and retention efforts at Lulu.com, a leading start-up in the B2C self-publishing space. She also held the position of Director of Online Marketing and Merchandising for The Body Shop. Ricci holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. @ricwol
