UNC Women in Business Conference

March 30, 2012

The 2012 UNC Women in Business Conference will focus on how business professionals can expand their roles beyond traditional boundaries.  Often we’re caught up in our professional and personal lives and don’t devote sufficient time to reflecting on who we are, who we want to be, and our impact on the community and environment around us.  Regardless of the stage we’re at in our careers, all of us have learned valuable lessons we can share with others to foster growth.   No matter what career path we take, we can inspire those around us one person at a time, challenge the status quo, and change the paradigm. Waiting for the ideal opportunity to be an agent of change is a mirage not worth chasing – seize the moment today and INSPIRE, CHALLENGE, CHANGE!

Keynote Speaker:  Donna Dean, Chief Investment Officer for the Rockefeller Foundation – past winner of Kenan-Flagler MBA Alumni Award

Closing Address Speaker:  Julia Grumbles, Former VP of HR, Public Relations and Corporate Marketing resources for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.

This annual event has become a highlight for women at the University of North Carolina and in the greater Triangle community.  It brings together students, local business women, faculty, administration, and alumnae for networking and professional development. The conference’s primary objective is to provide tactical skills and knowledge that will enable women to build or continue strong careers in a weak economy.

The 2012 UNC Women in Business Conference will be held at the Kenan-Flagler School of Business at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. Registration will begin at 8:00am in the lobby of Koury Auditorium.  Please see our agenda for more details and click here to register.
